Arrival by train

The route of the Austrian Federal Railways runs from Vienna via Semmering, through Bruck an der Mur on to St. Veit and Klagenfurt as far as Villach or even Spittal an der Drau and Lake Millstatt. Under www.oebb.at for information on ticket prices and timetables. From Germany, your train route takes you via Munich to beautiful Salzburg and then on to Spittal an der Drau and Lake Millstatt. At www.db.de you can find out about current ticket prices and timetables. For the onward journey from Spittal or Villach, you can take the regularly scheduled buses to Bad Kleinkirchheim. The distance from both towns is about 30 kilometers.

Important information: Railway connection Tauern Tunnel – between Salzburg and Carinthia completely closed from April 12 to May 17, 2023 due to maintenance work!
